As a School of Engineering faculty assigned to the course I conduct weekly sessions to all ENGR 111 students in 1) A computer lab where application of spreadsheet methods for engineering computations are introduced, 2) A testing lab where students measure concrete compressive strength and use it to estimate flexural strength of concrete beams and verify those through testing. Students are required to conduct and submit a written report for every session, graded by the instructor.
